Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) helps businesses of all sizes across Europe to meet today’s material handling challenges. The organization offers a full range of Toyota counterbalanced forklifts and BT warehouse equipment, along with related services and solutions.

The IMS (Indirect Materials and Services) Corporate Purchasing team is dedicated to support all group companies in Europe in continuously improving purchasing conditions and processes. This includes:

  • Understanding our internal customers' needs and specifications, determining procurement strategy,
  • Going out to the supply market with Request for Quotations (RFQ), evaluating cost of ownership as well as other relevant criteria,
  • Setting up sustainable partnerships, that match corporate requirements and stakeholders needs,
  • We are working in close co-operation with TMHE sales-, staff companies, and factories. Commodities in scope include Vehicles, Professional Services, Trading, Advertising & PR, and purchasing projects.

You will have full responsibility over category group including Vehicles, Professional Services, Trading, Advertising & PR. Your main objectives will be to achieve the agreed cost reduction, quality objectives and to support the business. You will be working in close co-operation with sales companies, factories, TMHE functions (service market, logistic solutions), and other internal and external stakeholders.


You are structured, autonomous, and strong in problem solving. You have skills in project and contract management, and a minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position. You have sourcing experience in parts and services, ideally in an international environment. Fluent English is necessary; other languages are added value. The position requires travel within Europe. Required skills include ability to:

  • Analyze market and items, propose improvements.
  • Setup strategic plan for how to perform negotiation. Create RFQs with full cost lifecycle in mind.
  • Build specifications, pricing, SLA. Support internal stakeholders in building those.
  • Develop and review agreements, negotiate optimal terms & conditions.
  • Drive suppliers’ performances, control compliance.
  • Understand and manage contracts lifecycle.
  • You have leadership skills to drive complex procurement initiatives.
