Toyota Material Handling Europe is one of the world’s largest companies and one of the world’s largest suppliers of material handling solutions, both within forklifts and related products and services. The subsidiary Logistics Solutions (TMHLS) which is a central part of the development and innovation part of Toyota Material Handling is located at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg. Logistics Solutions develops solutions in automation, telematics, software development and inventory management and has approximately 150 employees. Toyota Material Handling Europe has a total of approximately 9000 employees in about thirty sales companies, as well as in development and manufacturing units in Sweden, Italy and France. The head office is in Mjölby, where smart solutions for material handling and unique trucks are developed and produced.

We are expanding our support offering and will include 24/7 support, therefore we are looking for a support engineer to join our team. As a System Support Engineer at TMHLS you will support our automated solutions and will be in close contact with our customers. You will collaborate with different departments within TMHLS, such as project managers, software developers and application engineers. You will perform advanced technical troubleshooting and support our customers through guidance over the phone and via remote access. You will coach the customers to solve problems that occur, and work with them to reduce the risk of similar situations, to make sure to maintain a high usability of the customer’s systems. Occasional visits to customers are also part of a System Support Engineer’s tasks.


  • Troubleshooting of automated systems and solutions
  • Coordinate troubleshooting actions and solution implementations with several parties involved both internally and externally
  • Collaborate around envisioning, planning and performing system changes as the needs of our customers evolve
  • Execute updates in PLC-code
  • Update processes, documentation and guidelines



As a person you have good communication skills and the ability to listen and build relationships. You have experience from working as a problem solver, where you take on technical problems of both lower and higher complexity. You take own initiatives and strive to develop ways of working internally and for the client, to improve usability for the client. You enjoy working towards deadlines and can work calmly and methodical under pressure. A genuine technical interest is a must.

A relevant university degree within the Automation area or equivalent is desirable. You have experience from working with automated solutions. You have basic knowledge and an interest in PLC programming. You like to support and coach and is comfortable with being a problem solver.
You are fluent in English, spoken as well as written. It is also a plus if you speak another European language.

Together with your colleagues you will share the responsibility to cover 24/7 support, which means that you will be on call according to a set schedule.
