As a Software Developer in the department Digital Services at Toyota Material Handling you will be an important part of a great scrum team, working with the latest techniques.

We are now deploying our first microservices in Azure and we have many more to come. In our ongoing migration, today’s product will be completely rebuilt as microservices. We are constantly developing, testing, sometimes failing but most importantly – learning and improving.

We strive to be in the forefront when it comes developing software; working with MongoDB, .NET Core, React, CI/CD, DevOps etc. We recently decided to use LaunchDarkly so that we can work more closely with our customers during development.

SAFe framework is used for our prioritization and collaboration context and our release train consists of 6 teams. We are a rather small organization where everybody can really make a difference and we have regular innovation weeks where everyone comes together to explore and learn.

We at Digital Services Development are responsible for developing the application software for our IoT solution within Toyota Material Handling. We are frontrunners in connectivity and have taken some successful steps on our IoT journey, now with over 100.000 connected forklifts spread across the world. To continue to be ahead of our competitors, we must continuously improve, innovate and challenge what we do and how we do it.

Do you want to contribute to making our customers successful through innovative IoT features? Bring competitive advantage to our customers?

You have strong communication skills and the ability to listen and build relationships. You value being part of a scrum team, working, learning and having fun together and always putting the success of the team first. A genuine technical interest is a must. Either you are a senior software developer or an ambitious person with good programming skills.

We are building teams that have all the necessary expertise, within the team, to develop and take responsibility for the new microservices that we design. With this comes a responsibility for all team members to:

  • Continuously learn and share knowledge through code reviews, participation in CoPs etc.
  • Develop and test software
  • Help improving ways of working in our agile environment
  • Research and innovation in new technical areas

A relevant university degree within computer science or equivalent is desirable. You have experience from full stack development within a .NET environment. Competence in test-driven development is a plus.

You are fluent in English, spoken as well as written.
